Getting started
Champions
A Champion is the person on or beside a trading desk who understands both the business and the code — the rates quant who can also ship, the technologist who sits on the floor. Markets OS is built for them: it gives that person the power to build production-grade tooling without the authority to endanger production while they do it.
Why the platform centres on them
The people who feel a workflow's pain most acutely are the ones best placed to fix it, and they have historically been the least empowered to — stuck between a spreadsheet they cannot govern and a central IT queue measured in quarters. Champions closes that gap: build it yourself, in a studio, under controls that make the result trustworthy.
The safe sandbox
A Champion builds and runs freely in a sandbox that reads real data through connectors but cannot emit to any production sink. Experiment, break things, iterate — none of it touches the book. The only door out of the sandbox is the governance pipeline, and it only opens on independent sign-off. So the freedom to build is total and the freedom to break production is zero, by construction rather than by trust.
Good to know
Sandbox runs are as real as production runs in every way but one: their sink is inert, so the same app can be exercised safely before it is ever promoted.
A Champion's reach is set by role, not seniority — the platform grants the ability to build, and governance decides what ships.
